Finding David Douglas

The compelling story and scientific adventures of the intrepid 19th century Scots botanist is told in this multi-national initiative. A film portrait of Douglas, for whom our Douglas fir tree is named, will encourage today's audience to explore the natural world and to better appreciate how one person's efforts can make a difference.

This meticulously researched hour-long documentary Finding David Douglas was filmed on location in Scotland, England, northern Canada, Hawaii, California and the Pacific Northwest.

DVDs are currently unavailable through OCHC. A reissue is being planned.
